Bamba Ndiaye is a Senegalese immigrant. He comes from the big and holy city of Touba. The young man came to the USA by the border one year ago. When Bamba came to the United States, like many African people, his dream was to find an American way of life. And he started to find the way.
Since he entered this country, Bamba has worked and started to have his own life. Meeting in Denver to get his reaction to this election, Bamba accepted Trump’s election.
For him, democracy is reality in the USA. But he thinks the new president of the USA is going to make a promise to deport a lot of people back to their country.
And he is very scared by this mass deportation announcement like the other migrants crossing the border to enter the United States. During his campaign, Trump repeatedly promised a mass deportation that would round up immigrants around the country who have violated the law.

Association of Senegalese of Colorado's opinion
But the president of the Association of Senegalese of Colorado, Lamine Thiam, considers the United States a country of law. ‘’ The election of Donald Trump has deeply affected many Senegalese living in the United States, particularly because of his explicit statements during his campaign concerning the deportation of illegal immigrants. This has raised legitimate concerns, as many feared the consequences.
As President of the Senegalese of Colorado, I share these concerns, although a part of me remains confident: the United States is a country of law that respects human rights, including those of immigrants,’’ he said.
Lamine Thiam calls on "all Africans residing in the United States, and in particular my Senegalese compatriots, to scrupulously respect the laws and regulations of this country. It is crucial to avoid any negative contact with law enforcement or the judicial system for any reason whatsoever."
